I'm so humbled by this picture. I was commissioned to do a similar type of work for family members, but this is so much more advanced. You've accurately re-created the style and design of the era while maintaining your own personality.

A wonderful idea to do a Renaissance-like portrait from a photo. Of course no Italian painter would have used a dusky background, but this makes your painting the more intriguing. I hope the person you portrayed liked herself in that saintly look.

Wow, that's gorgeous. Outstanding use of light in this one, the image is very soft and delicate to look at.

It looks like something from hundreds of years ago.
